A Wedding at Quinta das Rosas: An Unforgettable Experience

Today I’m here to share with you a super different and exciting wedding I had the pleasure of photographing at the amazing Quinta das Rosas. Get ready for a story full of emotional and surprising moments!
So, let’s start from the beginning. This wedding was a total break from my usual routine. No pre-wedding session, which means I didn’t get the chance to meet the couple and help them feel comfortable in front of the camera. And to add an extra twist to this challenge, I only met the groom on the wedding day. Talk about suspense, right?
The groom, shy as can be, chose not to be photographed while getting dressed, so all the attention was on the bride, who was getting ready in one of the charming rooms at the estate. The space was simply stunning, with lush greenery creeping up the walls, a super colorful bouquet, and a strategic mirror that allowed me to capture unique moments as makeup and hair were being done. It was definitely a dreamy setting to photograph!
The ceremony took place at the small but iconic church in the Galician village of Merceana. It was there that I finally saw the bride and groom meet at the altar, and it was impossible not to notice the relief and joy on their faces as they exchanged nervous glances.
Back at the estate, we were greeted with a lively cocktail, courtesy of the Crazy Day. And then came the fun part: a session for just the two of them. I confess it was a bit challenging for them to loosen up, but in the end, they did incredibly well. After that, I gave them some time to have dinner and enjoy the party.
